Careers in Academia Subcommittee

The goal of this committee is to help postdocs from MGH who are applying for academic jobs get a better sense of the application process and provide guidance on starting their academic careers. We intend to approach this process from diverse perspectives and give postdocs as broad a range of opinions as possible. Panel discussions are good avenues for bringing out these perspectives. In these panel discussions, we have had professors who have been on search committees at research institutions, young academics who have recently been through the job search process, professors at teaching institutions, researchers who had a two-body problem, etc. who have shared their opinion and advice.
